Sample Spells

          1) Energy Blast:

     This is a combat spell (I don't believe it!) that produce a ray of energy, doing enough damage to pierce an armor: Light Damage (Lvl 2), in Lign of Sight, to one target: Microspells: Create Magical Energy (creates the energy for the spell)+Shadow Manipulation (shape and mold that energy)=2+2=4, Damage (+2), Lign of Sight (+2), one target (+0), Duration momentary (the blast is created, and then disapear)(-1) = 4+2+2+0-1 = 7 points.

          2) Personnal Teleport:

     This spell teleports the caster from a shadow to another, far, shadow. As the caster is an Amberite, natural resistance has to be overcome: Shadow opening Microspell=2, to the same Shadow Area (+4), Range: Personnal (-1), one target (+0), Momentary Duration (-1), Target: Amberite (+2) = 2+4-1-1+2 = 06 points.

          3) Teleport Gate:

     Similar to the precedent spell, this spell creates instead a portal that anyone can enter: Shadow Opening and Magical Energy=2+2=4, portal created at Touch Range (-1), leading to a Near Shadow (+4), 1 mR (+0), lasts less than an hour (+0) = 4-1+4 = 07 points.

          4) Combat Apportation Spell:

     This kind of spells open a passage to another Shadow, by which it lets pass various dangerous materials or else. The Lava Burst from the Amber DRPG is an example of such spells: Shadow Opening=2, to a Same Area Shadow (The source Shadow must be defined, so the spell will usually not fickle since it can reach it at a great distance) +4, Range: personnal (the opening is created near the sorcerer, its the lava... that reaches the target) -1, Momentary -1, less than 1 mR (+0) = 2+4-1-1= 4 pts. Created in order to reach a near Shadow, it would have had an energy cost of 5 pts.

          5) Fuck the GM Spell:

     This spell is an example of a clever player working with the system and within its limits to create a combat spell with a feeble energy cost. This is system abuse nor point optimisation, this is a character being clever! This is great!
     It opens a Shadow Opening to the core of the Planet where the character is. Of course, it will only work if the character is on a planet, and the results may vary depending upon the physical laws of the Shadow and what is at the planet's core. Usually, however, it results in a lava burst just like the one created by the Combat Apportation Spell: Shadow Opening=2, to the same Shadow (The location of the opening is defined as the center of the planet, so the spell works) +1, Range: personnal (the opening is created near the sorcerer, its the lava... that reaches the target) -1, Momentary -1, less than 1 mR (+0) = 2+1-1-1= 1 pt.

     One Microspell, energy cost: 1... This is probably the reason why "Fuck the GM" spells are so popular among sorcerers with a Human-level psyche...
